MyFirstEV Program

on new zero-emission vehicles (MSRP under $50,000)

The purpose of this program is to attract first-time California-resident ZEV purchasers and lessees. Must be a first-time EV, BEV or FCEV buyer or lessee and qualify for the program. Must have a California home address and drivers license. $1,750 incentive funded by California Air Resource Board (CARB) and $1,750 funded by Hyundai Motor America (HMA) for the total amount of $3,500. Available on new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 2027 Hyundai Ioniq 5 models. Other restrictions may apply. Program runs from August 4, 2026 to January 4, 2027. MyFirstEV may be cancelled before January 4, 2027 if state funds are exhausted. MyFirstEV is part of California Climate Investments, which uses billions of Cap-and-Invest dollars to fund projects that reduce harmful emissions, protect public health, strengthen local economies, and support natural environments.
